Tilbage i 2003 blev Madlib sluppet fri i det legendariske plade selskab Blue Note´s arkiver og fik frie hænder til at vælge og vrage i blandt alle klassikerne og til sidst genfortolke, omrangere og remix nogle af vores århunders størst jazz stykker.. det kom er noget rigtig fint ud af. bla. Mystic Bounce som er et remix eller re-take på Ronnie Foster’s “Mystic Brew.” man kan høre på dette nummer at Madlibs egen opfattelse af Blue Notes lyd stemmer overens med hans egne musicalske estetisk og dette går op i en højere enhed, og specielt i dette nummer.

Tartelet Records har meget at fejre og det gøres med et nyt tiltag kaldet ”Tartelet Benefit”, som afholdes første gang d.10 oktober på københavns eneste natklub, Dunkel.

Denne gang er det udgivelsen af 8. single “The Work Out” (Wareika/Tomski*fredboy), nyt website, AiAiAi/Tartelet/Husk mit Navn samarbejdet om en limited USB-memory-stick, samt ny kollektion af de eftertragtede Tartelet Pentagram t-shirts, der er anledningen.

Vi har ydermere inviteret vores ven fra Luciano’s CADENZA Rec, Gavin Herlihy på besøg. Gavin har et imponerende CV og kan blamere sig med udgivelser på nogle af de bedste labels indenfor house og techno (Cadenza, Cocoon, Kindsich).

once again it´s sunday and it´s lovely.. at the moment as i am writing this i am setting at a office tabel in the middle of Ilva in malmø watching my best friend karl dj’ing while super star artist Kristian Von Hornsleth is walking around all cover in paint make some kind of art preformance painting a room.


after wards it´s on to ikea to buy a bed for my new place and then probably a visit to the very nice ikea restaurant to have something nice
